Traditional Japanese Knife Craft – Made in Seki, Japan This is a 5-piece hammered (Tsuchime) Japanese knife set from the Seki Tobei. Manufactured in Seki City, a renowned blade-producing region with over 700 years of history, Seki knives developed from the tradition of Japanese swordsmithing and are known internationally for their sharpness, durability, and excellent balance. The distinctive Tsuchime (hammered) finish is a traditional hand-applied surface treatment on the blade. Each knife has a unique texture created by hammering, reflecting artisanal craftsmanship while also helping to reduce food sticking during cutting. The blades are made of carefully selected stainless steel and paired with natural Ho-wood handles, combining traditional aesthetics with modern materials. Designed for long-term use, these knives can be resharpened and maintained for many years.
