(Δ Because Catawiki translated the text incorrectly, there is often gibberish, or the wrong word choice.
Toogkast from around 1660.
Also called Utrecht toogkast but there is no difference with Dutch toogkasten.
Quarter-sawn oak, due to the sawing direction the food vessels appear in the wood.
This gives that beautiful grain pattern in the grain.
Here and there a lighter type of wood used as contrast.
Also in the togen. Beautiful Renaissance style.
The togen, the small arches above the doors are borrowed from the triumphal arches of classical antiquity.
Under the doors a wide drawer.
Also the sides have that lovely finish with togen.
Artistic carved lion heads on the cap.
The interior has two original shelves.
The lock is original and the key works.
Transport:
In the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, France and Spain we transport the furniture in packing blankets and place it indoors. For other countries on a wooden pallet in sturdy cardboard and waterproof foil up to the front door.

>>> These transports usually have no track and trace system.
I give a dummy code for Catawiki's computer system.
You cannot track the transport.
Take photos of the packaging upon receipt to rule out damage during transport.
Usually it is not possible to ship within three days, you may ignore Catawiki’s reminders.
Usually it is between three and seven days on the way.
You approve and sign for good receipt with the driver.
Any damage must be reported directly in this form.
That is needed for the insurance.
Damage that occurs afterwards is at your own risk.
An empty form means good receipt.
The carrier calls you to make an appointment for delivery.
You are free to arrange the transport yourself as well, please indicate this on your payment to Catawiki.
For countries outside Europe you must pay additional customs costs and there are extra charges for clearance and administration. For countries outside Europe I give one amount for convenience but amounts may vary.
I will gladly inform you. Please contact me.
