This piece looks as though it rose from the forest floor, shaped by time and fire. With flowing contours and deeply carved textures, it mimics roots or lava rock, bold and raw in character. It works beautifully as a low table, display pedestal, or sculptural focal point.
Chainsaw-carved from solid hardwood, the surface is charred using the traditional Shou Sugi Ban method, then protected with natural oils and waxes. The finish preserves the rich detail and celebrates the wood’s natural movement.

Surface: Rough-textured surface with visible tool marks
