Πατιναρισμένος μπρούτζος - Signed Yoshimitsu - Ένα μπρούντζινο οκιμόνο με πατίνα που απεικονίζει έναν νέο σαμουράι με κάτανα. - Meiji period (1868-1912)
A bronze okimono depicting a young samurai with a drawn katana, held with both hands above his head in an attacking stance, signed Yoshimitsu. His intense gaze and posture evoke the tension of a warrior in the moment just before the strike.
The kimono is finely engraved with floral motifs, family crests (mon), and wave-like decorations that follow the movement of the sleeves, lifted by wind and action.
The figure rests on a carved wooden base.
Signature on the back of the garments.
Okimono (置物), combining the kanji "oki" (置き, to place) and "mono" (物, object), refers to a decorative object meant for display. Okimono, popular in the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), were finely crafted sculptures made from materials such as ivory, boxwood, wood, and bronze.
---The okimono is in good condition with minor wear to the patina, consistent with age and use. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
---The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL express or FedEx.
The original certificate of authenticity issued by our gallery will be provided to the buyer.
