Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή

Brand: Maxon
Model: CS-550 Stereo Chorus
Type: Effect pedal
Made in: Japan
Serial number: 99Y (from warranty card)
Colour: Blue

Complete set with original box, paperwork, and dedicated 10V adapter – rarely found in this condition.

This is an early non-TBS version Maxon CS-550 Stereo Chorus made in Japan around 1999.

This unit features the original circuit design produced prior to the later TBS (True Bypass Switching) models and represents the original specification of the CS-550.

Developed under the supervision of renowned Japanese guitarist Char (Hisato Takenaka), the CS-550 was designed to deliver a deep, dimensional stereo chorus sound with rich width and strong presence.

The pedal has been carefully cleaned, inspected, and fully tested. It operates perfectly using the dedicated 10V adapter, as designed. All controls function smoothly, and there is no unwanted noise during operation.

The DEPTH potentiometer previously showed slight scratchiness, but it has been removed, internally cleaned, and treated with contact cleaner. After servicing, it operates smoothly without noise.

All electronic components remain original. No parts have been replaced.

Internal components confirm the production period:
– BBD chip MN3207 and clock MN3102 (1999 lot)
– NEC C4570C operational amplifiers (1998 date codes)
– Philips SA571N compander (1999 date code)
– Carling footswitch marked 9916 (1999 Week 16)
– Original Nichicon electrolytic capacitors consistent with 1998–1999 production

These components indicate a natural production flow from late 1998 parts to final assembly in 1999.

Condition: Very good condition for its age, with minor scratches and signs of use. Please refer to the photos.

Includes:
- Original box
- Original manual
- Original warranty card (dated May 16, 2000)
- Original 10V AC adapter

Please note: The included original adapter is designed for 100V (Japan domestic specification). A step-down transformer or suitable alternative power supply may be required depending on your region.

Estimated production period: Spring to Summer 1999.

The CS-550 is a high-quality stereo chorus pedal that adds depth, width, and spatial dimension to the sound, making it suitable for both guitar and bass applications.
