Item Description: This is a charming vintage set of three "Creative Kokeshi" (創作こけし, Sosaku Kokeshi) dolls, each featuring a distinctive red hair ornament. - Left: Nara Deer Kokeshi (奈良・鹿, Nara Shika) by Kunio Miyagawa. It features a hand-painted scene of a deer and a pagoda, typical of Nara souvenirs. Signed on the bottom. - Center: Little Girl with Kimono (着物の少女, Kimono no Shojo) by Kojo Tanaka. A rare design for this artist, featuring a confident, slightly defiant facial expression that is a hallmark of his style. Signed on the bottom. - Right: Tsugaru Kite Kokeshi (津軽凧絵, Tsugaru Tako-e) by Genso. The sleeves are beautifully decorated with traditional "Tsugaru Kite" paintings. Signed on the bottom. Artist: - Kunio Miyagawa (宮川 邦夫, 1933-): Based in Maebashi, Gunma. He is a prestigious two-time winner of the Prime Minister's Award (1980, 1990) at the All Gunma Modern Kokeshi Contest.
