A beautiful and well-preserved mineral association from the world-renowned Erongo Region of Namibia, one of the finest pegmatite localities on Earth. The specimen features richly developed muscovite mica crystals in a warm golden-green tone, displaying excellent book-like cleavage and a characteristic silky to pearly luster across multiple growth layers and directions. The muscovite forms an impressive aggregate, showing natural terminations and a three-dimensional habit typical of the Erongo pegmatite pockets. Partially encasing and contrasting dramatically with the mica is a large schorl (black tourmaline) crystal, displaying the classic striated prismatic form of the species. The jet-black color of the schorl creates a striking visual contrast with the golden muscovite — a combination highly sought after by collectors.
