An elegant late Victorian solid silver teapot crafted in London in 1893 by the renowned silversmith partnership Josiah Williams & Co. together with George Maudsley Jackson. This refined example perfectly reflects the high-quality British silver craftsmanship of the late 19th century.
The teapot displays a beautifully balanced, bulbous form standing on a decorative pedestal base supported by a round stylised feet. The body is richly adorned with finely embossed floral and scrolling foliate motifs, executed using traditional repoussé and chasing techniques, giving the piece both depth and texture while maintaining a harmonious and luxurious appearance.
The shaped rim and hinged domed lid are equally decorated, topped with an elegant turned ebony finial.
