The piece stands on three rounded feet and features a beautifully openwork (sukashi) pierced lid crowned with a finely cast kirin (mythical auspicious beast) finial — a symbol of prosperity and good fortune in East Asian culture. The cylindrical body is encircled by horizontal ribbed lines (tatesen), giving it an elegant architectural quality. The lid's pierced band displays an intricate interlocking scroll pattern, reflecting the extraordinary precision that the rōgata lost-wax technique demands. He trained under both Suga Masanosuke (月真) and Suga Ryōji (木仙), and has received multiple awards at municipal and prefectural art exhibitions.
