The history of Edox began when founder, Christian Rufleury gave his wife a handmade Watches for her 25th birthday. His wife was so impressed by the beauty of the Watches that she encouraged her husband to start a Watches brand, and thus Edox was founded in 1884. The Neptunian collection is a derivative model born in 2021 based on the Skydiver military diver's watch developed for the Swiss Army parachute troops. This high-spec Professional diver's watch boasts a high level of water resistance of 1000m, with a 3mm thick sapphire crystal windshield and a tough 44mm case made of high-quality 316 steel. The military feel of the original model has been toned down, but the new model is available in a variety of styles, including a high-tech ceramic bezel, gold PVD coating, blue and green colors, and beautiful gradient dials, making it a more modern and sophisticated diver's watch. The collection name "Neptunian" is derived from Neptune, the god who ruled the sea in Greek and Roman mythology, and is engraved on the case back as a tribute to the indomitable challengers who face difficulties in pursuit of Edox's goal of creating "a Watches for champions."
