Dial and Hands
The dial of this Hamilton Intra-Matic is a stunning execution of mid-century minimalism, presented in near-mint condition. It features a brilliant silver sunburst finish that catches the light dynamically, radiating from the central pinion. The typography is crisp and precise, showcasing the vintage-style Hamilton logo and "intra-matic" text printed flawlessly. Slender, printed black baton indices serve as hour markers, perfectly matching the ultra-thin black baton hands to ensure excellent legibility without disrupting the clean aesthetic. A neatly beveled date window is positioned at 6 o'clock, maintaining the dial's perfect symmetry. The dial surface is exceptionally clean, showing no visible spots, stains, moisture marks, or imperfections, preserving a fresh, factory-like appearance.
Case and Crystal
The 42mm polished stainless steel case is in excellent condition, showcasing sharp, well-defined lines and a remarkably thin overall profile. The slim, polished bezel maximizes the dial's visual presence, while the elegantly angled straight lugs provide a comfortable and refined fit on the wrist. The case flanks and bezel display only the lightest superficial handling marks consistent with careful wear, with no deep scratches, dings, or significant softening of the edges. The crown is correctly signed with the Hamilton 'H' logo and remains crisp to the touch. A gently domed crystal protects the dial, offering clear, distortion-free viewing from all angles, and remains free of any notable scratches or chips. The exhibition caseback is secured by four screws and features clear, deep factory engravings.
Movement
Visible through the exhibition caseback is the reliable and beautifully decorated ETA caliber 2892A2 automatic movement. The movement features 21 jewels and a custom Hamilton rotor adorned with a sunburst finish and engraved branding. Macro photography confirms the crisp "2892A2" caliber stamp alongside the ETA maker's mark and the "V8 ZV04" base plate engravings. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a second hand timepiece. The timegrapher results indicate a strong performance of +9 to +12 seconds per day.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a classic black leather strap featuring tonal stitching and a polished stainless steel pin buckle. The strap perfectly complements the dressy, minimalist nature of the timepiece and shows minimal signs of wear, remaining supple, structurally sound, and ready for regular use.
Condition
This timepiece is presented in near-mint condition. The dial and hands are flawlessly preserved, and the stainless steel case retains its brilliant polished finish with only minor signs of careful handling. The movement is exceptionally clean, visually striking, and running with strong precision.
