A finely executed Scottish art glass paperweight by Strathearn, featuring an elegant radial millefiori composition set over a deep dark ground, enriched with delicate latticino twists. The central motif is surrounded by carefully arranged floral canes in shades of turquoise, blue and white, forming a harmonious and highly decorative arrangement. Radiating from the centre are distinctive spoke-like latticino elements – a characteristic feature associated with Strathearn production – adding both structure and visual dynamism to the design. The piece is formed in an attractive star-cut shape with gently faceted sides, giving it a sculptural presence and allowing light to interact beautifully with the internal pattern.
