Dial and Hands
The dial of this De Ville is a visual delight, featuring a brilliant silver finish with a pronounced vertical sunburst texture that catches the light beautifully. The typography is crisp and well-preserved, with the serif Omega logo and "OMEGA AUTOMATIC" text positioned below the applied metallic Omega symbol, balanced by the sans-serif "DE VILLE" text in the lower half. The dial is punctuated by applied faceted baton indices, each featuring a striking black onyx insert that provides excellent legibility and contrast. A framed date aperture sits neatly at the three o'clock position. The dial condition is exceptionally clean, free of any significant spotting, moisture damage, or discoloration, presenting a remarkably fresh appearance for its age. A microscopic inspection reveals only the faintest age-related dust, such as a tiny fiber near the center pinion, but the surface itself is outstanding. The matching baton hands feature identical black inserts, complemented by a slender central sweeping seconds hand.

Case and Crystal
The 35 millimeter stainless steel case features a classic, well-proportioned profile with elegant, slightly downturned lugs. The smooth polished bezel frames the dial perfectly, while the mid-case exhibits a handsome transition between brushed and polished surfaces. The case remains sharp and well-defined, showing normal, honest signs of wear including light surface scratches and handling marks consistent with careful vintage use. The original Omega-signed crown, featuring a scalloped edge and raised logo, remains present and easily operable. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal that displays the hallmark miniature Omega logo etched directly into its center, confirming its authenticity. The solid caseback features a brushed circular center and polished outer bevels, opening to reveal the inner reference stamping 166.033.

Movement
Powering this timepiece is the highly regarded Omega Caliber 565 automatic movement, featuring 24 jewels and the brand's signature copper-toned plating. The movement presents beautifully, with crisp engravings displaying the caliber number and the serial number 31397343 across the bridge. Running in vintage operational condition. Strap
The watch is fitted with its original Omega stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet, a highly sought-after accessory that defines the vintage Omega wearing experience. The folding clasp features a crisp, raised Omega logo on the outer cover. The inner clasp blades are clearly stamped with "STAINLESS STEEL", the Omega logo, the reference "1037", and "No. 29". The bracelet shows moderate, age-consistent stretch typical of this intricate link design, yet it remains structurally sound, secure, and incredibly comfortable on the wrist.

This timepiece is presented in excellent vintage condition. The case retains strong lines with only superficial surface wear, while the original signed crown and etched crystal add significant collector appeal.
