A rare terracotta Buddhapada, "Foot of the Buddha" travelling ritual talisman with inscription, an aniconic representation of Buddha before the anthropomorphic form from the ancient Gandhara culture, first millennium AD .
In good condition. It has been cleaned, but the nice antique patina is preserved.
Purchased in Bangkok/Thailand by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
