Benet, Manuel - 1 Original colour page - Judge Dredd - Dredd Rides Away - 1993
A great page of Judge Dredd artwork by Manuel Benet- take a good look at the fantastic artwork, colours and layout. This has some very intricate panels heaped full of details. A huge fire burns in Judge Dredd's distract due to the new Mark 5 Robots and the Mechanismo project... This page has a huge half page panel and a narrative lower half ending in a great shot of Dredd riding away on his Lawmaster.
The artwork is executed in watercolour, inks, pencil and black pen and airbrush, on Dibujo Geler GVA RRO art paper.
The acetate sheet with the speech bubbles is still attached to the artwork, which means it can be lifted to view the artwork in it's full glory, without the shine of the acetate plastic or speech bubbles.
The reverse of the page is marked 'Meg #42 pg. 4' referring to the 2000ad Megazine, a science fiction comic published in 1993 as a companion to the ever popular 2000ad.
