This is a striking display specimen featuring well-defined, elongated Schorl (Black Tourmaline) crystals emerging from a matrix of bladed Barite. The piece hails from the prestigious mining areas near Karimabad in the Hunza Valley, a region famous for producing high-quality silicates and sulfates.
Minerals: Schorl Tourmaline (Borosilicate) and Barite
Origin: Hunza Mountains, Karimabad, Pakistan.
Weight: 603 g.
Dimensions: 11.5 cm (Width) x 8 cm (Height) x 8 cm (Depth).
Crystal Form: The Tourmaline displays a trigonal, elongated habit. The Barite grows in tabular-foliated (bladed) aggregates that beautifully frame the dark crystals.
Condition:
The specimen is in excellent natural condition. The contrast between the lustrous, black Schorl and the matte, creamy-white Barite blades is very sharp. It features multiple viewpoints, making it a versatile cabinet piece. The original collector's card is included
