Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή
Decorative glass vase produced by the Belgian manufacture De Rupel Boom Glasfabriek, probably in the 1950s, in a post-Art Déco spirit with Hollywood Regency accents. This elegant piece combines sober, architectural lines with a refined décor of gold bands, typical of post-war glass productions where decorative luxury is expressed through clean shapes and luminous finishes.
The vase presents a flared silhouette resting on a small circular foot fully highlighted in gold. The glass, tinted with a delicate smoked pink, alternates broad satin areas and transparent bands adorned with horizontal gold fillets. This regular graphic play gives the whole a very balanced presence, while the widely open neck accentuates its slender allure. The metallic reflections of the décor subtly contrast with the powdery softness of the satin glass, creating an aesthetic that is decidedly glamorous and decorative.
The whole is in good general condition for its age. The vase shows neither chips nor visible cracks. However, there are signs of use, some superficial abrasions as well as occasional wear and small losses in the golden décor, visible in close-up photographs. The interior also retains a few marks related to use. These wear signs remain moderate and coherent with a piece from the 1950s.
During the post-war years, De Rupel Boom Glasfabriek participated in the renewal of Belgian decorative glass by adopting international influences blending modernism and Hollywood elegance. The manufactory then developed pieces with simple lines enriched by satin décors, gilding and play of transparency, in line with the sophisticated interiors of the 1950s. This vase perfectly illustrates this stylistic transition between Art Déco heritage and Hollywood Regency aesthetics, which were then very fashionable in European decorative arts.
Dimensions are:
- Height: 23.3 centimeters,
- Upper diameter: 16.8 centimeters,
- Base diameter: 11 centimeters,
- Weight: 1000 grams.
The vase will be carefully packed and shipped quickly in a secure manner. On-site pickup and group delivery are available. The photos are part of the description.
