Dial and Hands
The deep blue matte dial presents a highly attractive, functional layout characteristic of Seiko's golden era of chronographs. It features applied square hour markers filled with luminous material that has gracefully aged to a creamy eggshell tone. A framed day-date window sits prominently at the three o'clock position, while the thirty-minute chronograph sub-register occupies the six o'clock position. The dial exhibits minor signs of age, including faint spotting and light dust particles visible under close inspection, along with some subtle surface wear. The inner rotating indicator ring is rendered in a contrasting yellow hue, adding a vibrant touch to the overall composition. The steel baton hands retain their matching luminous fills but display noticeable surface oxidation and age-related texturing. The vibrant red central chronograph sweep hand and the matching sub-register hand provide excellent contrast against the dark dial surface.

Case and Crystal
The robust stainless steel cushion case retains its strong factory lines, showcasing a beautiful transition between the brushed upper surfaces and the polished flanks. The case exhibits normal, honest signs of wear consistent with its age, including superficial scratches and minor handling marks, but remains structurally sharp. The standout feature is the fixed external tachymeter bezel in the iconic red and blue configuration. The bezel insert displays significant and highly attractive fading, with the red portion having oxidized to a soft copper-pink and the blue section showing distinct edge wear and surface scratches, giving the watch a tremendous amount of authentic vintage character. The flat crystal sits flush with the bezel and shows light surface scratches and minor wear marks upon close examination.

Movement
Powering this timepiece is the legendary Seiko caliber 6139B, a 17-jewel automatic chronograph movement. Visually inspected, the movement appears remarkably clean, with the rotor and bridges retaining their factory finish and clear engraved text. The caliber 6139 is historically significant as one of the world's first automatic chronograph movements, featuring a column wheel and vertical clutch architecture. Running in vintage operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the era, recording +70 to +73 seconds per day.

Strap
The watch is fitted with an original Seiko stainless steel H-link bracelet, a highly sought-after component that completes the authentic aesthetic of this model. The folded links show expected stretch and wear from decades of use, complementing the overall condition of the watch case. The folding clasp is deeply stamped with the Seiko signature and functions securely.

Condition
This timepiece is presented in good vintage condition. It displays normal vintage wear, a moderately patinated and faded bezel, and a well-defined case profile. The dial remains highly attractive despite minor age-related spotting, and the hands show honest oxidation.
