A Chinese blue and white porcelain brush pot, Kangxi period, c. 1662–1722. Of slightly flared cylindrical form, finely hand-painted in underglaze blue with antique objects and scholar’s items, including incense burners, vessels, books and auspicious decorative motifs. The lower section is decorated with a geometric border, and the rim is finished with a simple blue line. A charming Kangxi-period blue and white brush pot, suitable for collectors of Chinese scholar’s objects and early Qing porcelain. Size: Height 14.2 cm Condition: Good antique condition. There is a nick to the top rim, a flea bite and a tiny glaze bubble burst to the foot rim, and a glaze bubble burst to the base. There are fine glaze lines to the base. There is also a small enamel knock / glaze bruise near the foot rim, associated with fine glaze lines. Please refer to the photos for full condition details.
