A MacNeil from Allen Edmonds, crafted in magnificent Oxblood Shell Cordovan. The quality of the shell cordovan pieces is particularly evident in this pair, as they are exceptionally harmonious, lending the shoe that calm, cohesive look that is instantly recognizable in fine cordovan. This classic Longwing Blucher combines the striking American lines of the model with the deep, vibrant aura of the leather, whose interplay of colors shifts between warm burgundy and dark reddish-brown depending on the light. At the same time, this pair originates from an older Allen Edmonds production period, a phase highly prized among connoisseurs precisely for its solid craftsmanship and unpretentious substance. Thus, this is not merely a traditional longwing, but a MacNeil that beautifully preserves the stronger qualities of earlier manufacturing. "True elegance works in silence." Heel / Sole: Virtually as new condition with only minimal signs of wear. High-quality protective rubber soles from Continental were applied shortly after purchase, professionally and cleanly executed. In this area as well, the pair shows an excellent overall condition.
Other: A MacNeil just as one would wish for in shell cordovan: full of character, well-balanced, and with the quiet class of earlier, highly esteemed productions.
