This elegant three-tier Japanese jubako (stacking food box) is crafted using the traditional 木乾漆Moku Kanshitsu technique, a refined lacquerware method in which a wooden core is finished with layers of natural urushi lacquer and dry lacquer powder. The result is a durable yet lightweight vessel with a smooth, luxurious surface.

The exterior features a striking decorative composition inspired by flowing textile ribbons and traditional Japanese patterns. Gold, red, green, and bronze-toned motifs extend seamlessly across all three tiers and the lid, creating a continuous design when assembled. Delicate floral motifs, geometric patterns, and stylized botanical elements add depth and sophistication to the composition.

The deep black lacquer ground provides an elegant contrast to the decorative elements, while the interior is finished in a rich vermilion red lacquer.
