Studied under Mae Taihō, a living national treasure, and has been producing chinkin works for tea ceremony utensils and lacquerware such as jujube and incense containers. His work has been selected for many exhibitions including Nitten and Bijutsu-ten. Chinkin is a process of engraving patterns with a knife and decorating with gold leaf and gold powder.
