Dial and Hands
The watch features a striking silver dial with a refined sunburst finish that catches the light beautifully. It is adorned with applied gold-toned faceted baton indices that provide a warm, elegant contrast against the silver backdrop. The typography is executed perfectly, featuring the elegant black serif script "Seiko Cronos" below twelve o'clock and the sans-serif "Diashock 19 jewels" above six o'clock. The dial surface remains exceptionally clean and radiant, showing minimal signs of aging. The applied markers and the matching gold-toned dauphine hands exhibit a beautiful, age-consistent oxidation and warm patina that enhances the vintage character without detracting from the overall crisp presentation. The factory printing remains sharp, dark, and fully intact across the dial.

Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case features polished surfaces and elegant, slender lugs that retain strong profiles and clean lines. The original "S" signed crown is a fantastic detail, showing honest wear while remaining deeply stamped. The snap-on caseback displays the original factory engravings reading "SEIKO CRONOS", "STAINLESS STEEL", and the reference "14036". These exterior engravings have softened over the decades from regular wear but remain visible under close inspection. Inside, the caseback bears the Daini Seikosha tsuru (crane) logo and the serial number 984036, surrounded by beautiful engine-turned perlage finishing. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal that presents clearly, contributing to the classic mid-century profile and offering an unobstructed view of the stunning dial.

Movement
Powering this timepiece is the beautifully engineered manual-wind Seikosha caliber. The movement architecture is clean and robust, marked clearly with "SEIKOSHA" and "19 JEWELS" on the brushed bridges, showcasing exposed gears and ruby jewels set into the plates. Running in vintage operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the era. Timegrapher results indicate a performance of +50 to +55 seconds per day.

Strap
The watch is paired with a handsome black leather strap featuring contrasting brown stitching. This period-appropriate styling complements the gold-toned accents of the dial perfectly and secures to the wrist with a standard stainless steel tang buckle.

Condition
This Seiko Cronos is presented in excellent vintage condition. The case shows honest, light superficial wear consistent with careful use over the decades, retaining its refined shape and sharp lug profiles. The caseback engravings are softened from natural wear, a common and acceptable trait for this era. The dial is the standout feature, remaining remarkably clean with attractive, natural patina localized strictly to the gold-toned hands and applied indices. The movement is clean, well-preserved, and fully operational.
