About the Artist

Shugoro Hasuda (1915–2010) was one of Japan's most distinguished modern metal artists. Throughout his career he received numerous prestigious awards, including the Japan Art Academy Prize, and was designated a Person of Cultural Merit in 1987 before receiving the Order of Culture in 1991 for his outstanding contributions to Japanese metal arts.
