SEIKO DOLCE 8N41-5140 – Tungsten Carbide Square Quartz Dress Watch – early 1990s An elegant square-cased dress watch from Seiko's premium DOLCE line, produced in the early 1990s. The reference 8N41-5140 is known for its case made of tungsten carbide, an extremely hard material (approx. 2600 Hv) that is more scratch-resistant than sapphire and second only to diamond, framed with gold-tone accents. The deep navy-blue dial shows a subtle checkered pattern that shifts with the light, paired with applied gold-tone indices and a Roman numeral XII. It is powered by Seiko's high-precision quartz caliber 8N41. The two-tone stainless steel bracelet with gold-tone center links carries the DOLCE-signed clasp. The case back is marked WATER RESISTANT 10 BAR / TUNGSTEN CARBIDE / STAINLESS STEEL BACK / ANTI-MAGNETIC. The battery has been newly replaced and the watch is working properly — a refined example of Seiko's high-end quartz dress watches of the era.
