Elegant Historicist Jewellery Casket with Lock

Beautiful antique jewellery casket dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century, crafted in richly decorated cast metal with contrasting silvered and gilt finish.

The box features elaborate repoussé-style scrollwork, floral motifs and symmetrical ornamentation inspired by Neo-Renaissance design. The domed lid is fitted with its original carrying handle and a decorative hinged clasp. The original lock is still present, although the key is missing.

The interior remains clean and retains its original aged surface, making the piece suitable both as a decorative object and as a collector's cabinet item.

A charming antique box displaying an attractive untouched patina and excellent decorative presence.
