Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή
Original Dutch stained glass transom window – Hand-painted medallion – The Hague, circa 1923 – In excellent condition
This elegant original Dutch stained-glass transom window originates from a distinguished townhouse on Laan van Meerdervoort 572 in The Hague. It was originally installed as one of the decorative upper windows above the front bay window and has remained preserved in its original wooden frame.
The window features a beautifully hand-painted central medallion executed in traditional grisaille and silver stain, enriched with deep ruby-red accents and framed by a warm amber-coloured border. The textured cathedral glass creates a beautiful play of light and enhances the decorative character of the piece.
A clear protective glass pane has been fitted to one side, helping to preserve the historic stained glass in excellent condition. The original wooden frame shows age-related wear and flaking paint, consistent with its age, adding to its authentic character.
This is an exceptional architectural salvage piece, perfectly suited as a decorative interior object, for restoration projects, or for installation as an illuminated wall feature.
