Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή

vintage 12-hole chromatic harmonica by M. Hohner, from the "Larry Adler Professional" line, named after and endorsed by American virtuoso Larry Adler (1914–2001), who did more than anyone to popularise the chromatic harmonica in concert and film. Presented in its original box.
Details:
Model engraved on the mouthpiece plate: "The Larry Adler Chromatic Harmonica by M. Hohner — Professional 12 — Made in Germany"
Original pale blue/grey pebbled box printed "CHROMATIC HARMONICA BY M. HOHNER — The Larry Adler Professional 12 — Made in Germany," with the "Hart gesotten" ("hard-boiled"/hardened) quality mascot graphic — a Hohner marking used to indicate hardened, tempered reed plates for greater durability
Metal hinged box with front clasp latch, velvet-lined interior
Nickel-plated cover plates, cross-head (Phillips-type) retaining screw
No serial number or date code present on the instrument
Condition:
Case shows honest wear — surface scuffing, edge/corner wear, and loss to the printed covering material, along with some fading and a chip to the "Hart gesotten" sticker. Cover plates show light tarnishing typical of age. Latch appears functional.
On the missing serial number: this is completely normal and not a sign of anything amiss — Hohner did not stamp harmonicas with date codes until 2005, when a four-digit code began appearing on the reed plates. Vintage examples like this one were never numbered, so age has to be judged from box design, printing style, mascot graphics, hardware and construction details rather than any serial mark.
Probable age: The box graphics, typography, and "Hart gesotten" mascot styling are consistent with Hohner's mid-20th-century packaging (roughly 1950s–1960s), predating the plastic-combed, screw-plate versions of the same model sold from later decades onward. This should be treated as a stylistic estimate rather than a confirmed date.
