Model History:

The Seiko 7005-5000 is a distinctive Japanese automatic watch from the beginning of the 7005 calibre’s production period. Manufactured in October 1969, it reflects Seiko’s increasingly experimental design language at the transition between the 1960s and 1970s.
Its angular stainless-steel case, square dial and sculptural open-link bracelet give the watch a bold architectural appearance. The silver sunburst dial features a crosshair pattern, faceted applied hour markers and the lightning-bolt emblem associated with Seiko’s Daini production division.
Inside is the Seiko calibre 7005A, a dependable 17-jewel automatic movement operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour. It provides central seconds and a practical quick-set date display.

Condition:

The watch is in good vintage condition with visible signs of age and previous use.

The stainless-steel case has been polished. Scratches, small dents and other residual marks remain, particularly around the case edges and sides. The case back also shows scratches and opening marks.

The silver sunburst crosshair dial is visibly damaged and shows extensive age-related surface deterioration, including scratches, marks, staining and areas of discolouration. These imperfections are particularly noticeable around the upper-right and lower sections of the dial. The applied hour markers and hands also display visible age-related wear.

The original crystal has been polished, although scratches, edge imperfections and other traces of age remain. The original stainless-steel bracelet shows scratches and wear consistent with its age and fits wrists up to approximately 18.5 cm.

The automatic movement has been fully serviced and is functioning correctly. The watch is supplied with a 3-month functionality guarantee. Water resistance has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed. Contact with water should therefore be avoided.
