Model History:

The Seiko Spirit SCVS009 is a discontinued Japanese Domestic Market model introduced during the mid-2000s. Often regarded as one of the predecessors to Seiko’s later SARB collection, the SCVS series combined restrained, vintage-inspired styling with the company’s higher-grade 6R15 mechanical movement.
Manufactured in September 2005, this early example features an attractive light champagne sunburst dial with applied Arabic numerals at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. The cathedral-style luminous hands, framed date display and signed crown give the watch a distinctive character that balances classic dress-watch styling with everyday practicality.
Inside is the early Seiko calibre 6R15A, a 23-jewel automatic movement with manual winding, hacking seconds and an approximately 50-hour power reserve. The movement can be viewed through the transparent exhibition case back.

Condition:

The watch is in very nice used condition with light signs of previous wear.

The stainless-steel case shows small scratches and surface marks consistent with normal use. The polished bezel has a visible hairline crack near the upper-left section.

The light champagne sunburst dial remains attractive and changes subtly in tone depending on the lighting. The applied hour markers, Arabic numerals, hands and printed details present well. The original sapphire crystal is clear and scratch-free.

The original Seiko stainless-steel bracelet and signed folding clasp show scratches and other signs of previous wear. The transparent case back provides a clear view of the early Seiko 6R15A automatic movement.

The movement has been fully serviced and is functioning correctly. The watch is supplied with a 3-month functionality guarantee. Water resistance has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed. Contact with water should therefore be avoided.
