【Description】 The Hermès "Loquet" is a ladies' watch in which the timepiece and the bangle are made as one. "Loquet" is French for "latch," and true to its name, a small case is set into the centre of the bangle like a latch. Rather than a wristwatch, it is better described as a piece of jewellery that happens to tell the time. The highlight is the émail (enamel) decoration adorning both ends of the bangle. Against a black ground, red and orange lines are arranged, depicting white horses in harness together with tassel ornaments. The motif strongly reflects Hermès' origins as a harness workshop, and the glossy enamel stands out against the gold-coloured framing. The dial is gold-coloured with a vertical stripe decoration, combined with simple bar hour markers and two gold-coloured hands.
