Απάντηση: Beautifully carved swordfish bill with a marine setting where the base and cracks in the swordfish bill filled with off white resin.
A very impressive eye-catcher
A master craftsman has intricately carved an Octopus, a pair of whale, a Turtle, a stingray, and a swordfish into this large Swordfish Tusk. The carving is of very high quality and has a lot of detail. Could be seen as a type of scrimshaw. Scrimshaw is the name given to engravings and carvings done in bone or ivory.
Approximate Dimension including stand:
The tusk is 83 cm long
