*No Reserve*Set (5) 1930 Masonic Mauls plus Block- Gavels/Mallets including columns **Masonic gavels and mallets (often called mauls) used as symbolic "working tools" and emblems of executive authority within a Freemasons' lodge. **Historically used by operative stonemasons to chip the rough edges off stones. In speculative Freemasonry, it serves as a moral lesson for an Entered Apprentice to divest their heart and conscience of all vices and imperfections. **Used by the Worshipful Master and Wardens to command order, structure proceedings, and signal voting results during meetings. **The heavier, bulbous hammer style in the collection represents the tool used to set finished stones into alignment. It also holds deep symbolic significance within higher degrees of Masonic ritual. **Objects:** All the objects included in this auction originate from my family’s private used collection, which has been passed down through generations of true Masons. **Important Information:** Please be aware that there is a possibility of damage, delays, or additional fees associated with local courier transportation, customs checks, and taxes.
