Item Description Japanese Bronze Crane-Neck Vase with Gold Imperial Chrysanthemum Crest — Takaoka Copperware This elegant bronze vase is a fine example of Takaoka Copperware (高岡銅器), Japan's foremost centre for cast metalwork with a history spanning over 400 years. The piece is finished in a deep, lustrous green patina and formed in the graceful "crane-neck" (鶴首, tsurukubi) silhouette — a slender, elongated neck flaring gently at the rim, tapering into a full, rounded body. At the centre of the body, a gold Imperial Chrysanthemum Crest (菊の御紋) is applied. The vase rests on its original stand (plastic).
