The icon, 20th century, approx. 32 x 27 x 1,9 cm, wooden panel. This healing icon is a multi-part devotional composition dedicated to prayer for protection, health, and relief from various illnesses. At the top is God the Father, Sabaoth, blessing and protecting the faithful. Beneath Him is the icon of the “Unburnt Bush” (Neopalimaya Kupina), a symbol of divine protection and heavenly guardianship. The next section features the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, traditionally revered as an image of intercession and consolation. Below is the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, followed at the bottom by the Feodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God. Surrounding the central images are numerous saints who, according to Orthodox tradition and popular devotional practice, are invoked in prayer for help with particular illnesses and afflictions. The icon brings together the Mother of God and the saints in a unified prayer for healing, protection, and spiritual comfort. The icon is in very good condition. 954 g
