An incredible interplay of colors, shapes, and textures. This ashtray is a wonderful example of Josef Rozinek's work—a truly beautiful piece. The ashtray features engraving. There is a slight manufacturing imperfection on the base, which has been photographed; it is visible only from a certain angle and, as you can see in the photos, is otherwise unnoticeable. It is certainly a manufacturing flaw rather than a scratch, as the edges are soft and rounded, indicating it occurred while the glass was still hot. It in no way compromises the integrity or beauty of the piece. A massive, heavy piece with a strongly asymmetric, organic form crafted from thick-walled crystal glass. The internal composition features a fine transparent core that transitions near the top into rich, contrasting spots of vibrant colors with a distinct blue undertone. This progressive 1960 design is the work of one of Škrdlovice’s most significant masters, Josef Rozínek. An exceptional exemplar of Czech glass modernism from the turn of the 1950s and 1960s, distinguished by a strong spatial plasticity. Excellent condition - minor signs of wear, no chips or cracks.
