Dial and Hands
The exceptionally clean and attractive silver dial features a beautiful sunburst finish. Applied gold-tone faceted indices and a matching Omega logo provide elegant depth, while the text printing remains crisp and fully legible. The dial is wonderfully preserved, showing only very minor spotting visible strictly under high magnification. The original gold-tone dauphine hands display age-consistent character, with noticeable oxidation and spotting present on the surface of the hour and minute hands. The sweep seconds hand shows minor aging that complements the vintage aesthetic.

Case and Crystal
The gold-capped over stainless steel construction displays honest vintage wear while retaining its preserved overall geometry. The lugs and case flanks show moderate surface scratches and handling marks, with some wear visible along the edges of the gold capping. A smooth gold-tone bezel is integrated seamlessly with the case, exhibiting light surface scratches consistent with the rest of the watch. The stainless steel caseback features the signature gold observatory medallion, which remains intact and shows light scratches. The watch retains a period-correct signed Omega decagonal crown showing light wear to the knurling. A clear, domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, free from any major scratches, cracks, or crazing.

Movement
Powering the watch is the chronometer-certified Omega Caliber 561 automatic movement, featuring 24 jewels and adjusted to five positions and temperature. The signature copper-colored plating remains bright and well-preserved. The rotor and bridges display clean finishing with minimal marks, the screw heads appear in good condition, and there are no obvious signs of corrosion or moisture damage. Strap
The watch is fitted with a complementary black leather strap featuring beige contrast stitching. The material shows light creasing and signs of gentle use, pairing handsomely with the gold tones of the case.

Good vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 23 August 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The case displays honest wear, including moderate scratches, handling marks, and some wear to the gold-capped edges, yet retains its fundamental geometry. The silver sunburst dial is beautifully preserved with only minor micro-spotting, while the original hands exhibit noticeable surface oxidation. The acrylic crystal remains clear and highly presentable.
