A natural banded agate pectoral bead talisman from the ancient Tibetan-Burmese cultures.
Second Millennium AD.
In good condition. It has been cleaned by hand, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient cutting, carving and grinding.The holes are ancient,hand-made,irregular. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased 1975 in Yangon by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market during a diplomatic mission in the region.
