A fascinating Medieval bronze signet ring from the Crusader era, distinguished by its bold geometric bezel and strongly Christian-inspired symbolism. The circular bezel is engraved with a prominent equal-armed cross with expanded terminals, positioned at the centre of a carefully constructed double lozenge-shaped frame. The cross is visually reminiscent of forms associated with the Crusading period and the Knights Templar, whose imagery prominently employed the cross as an expression of Christian faith and devotion. While the design evokes this tradition, the motif itself does not establish direct ownership or use by the Templar Order. The surrounding diamond or lozenge geometry creates a particularly striking composition, enclosing and emphasizing the central cross. Four geometric fields around the centre further enhance the balanced, almost architectural character of the design. The shoulders of the ring are ornamented with multiple parallel incised bands, providing additional decoration while drawing attention toward the large circular bezel.
