Short description of the item and its origin This curated lot pairs two traditional Japanese hanging scrolls (kakejiku) depicting serene atmospheric landscapes of sparse winter woods and soft, drizzling rain: ●Scroll 1 (Winter Forest & Mountain Stream / 寒林溪山): Painted by Seiko (青宏). Ink on paper with fine silk mounting (绫裱). Captures a desolate winter mountain stream framed by leafless trees and misty mountain peaks in expressive ink washes. Signed "Seiko" (青宏) with red artist seals. Overall dimensions: 105 cm × 47 cm (painting core: 135 cm × 33.5 cm). ●Scroll 2 (Drizzling Rain in Sparse Woods / 细雨萧疏): Painted by Chikukeijin (竹溪人). Ink and light color on silk with silk mounting (绫裱). Depicts delicate floral branches in soft drizzle accompanied by a classical poetic calligraphy inscription signed "Chikukeijin" (竹溪人) with artist seals. Overall dimensions: 176 cm × 28 cm (painting core: 112.5 cm × 18 cm). Collector’s Value & Benefits The core highlight of this combined lot lies in its poetic synergy of the "Wintry Forest and Gentle Drizzle" motif (寒林细雨, 诗意互补). The stark, desolate beauty of the winter mountain streams in Winter Forest & Mountain Stream (寒林溪山) harmonizes gracefully with the quiet, contemplative ambiance of Drizzling Rain in Sparse Woods (细雨萧疏). Together, they present a complementary narrative of classic East Asian nature aesthetics, combining paper ink landscape and delicate silk painting into a harmonious seasonal presentation.
