Cavallotto is a historic family-owned estate in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of Barolo. The family acquired the Bricco Boschis estate in 1928 and has bottled its own wines since the 1940s. Since 1970, the best grapes from the Vigna San Giuseppe parcel have been vinified separately as Barolo Riserva.

The outstanding 2010 vintage received 97/100 from Wine Advocate, 97/100 from Wine Spectator and 17.5/20 from JancisRobinson.com.

The wine is mature and can be enjoyed now, but it also has excellent ageing potential and can continue to develop for many more years under proper cellar conditions.
