-
light painted abstract landscape - unique framed photogram*
Anna Khavro, 2025
unique gelatin silver print** (photogram*)- first from the series of abstract landscapes on the same title.
thanks to the use of a proprietary printing technique, the photographs in this series resemble etchings with aquatint when viewed in detail. Exceptional.
edition: 1/1
signed by the artist on the back.
framed in black wooden frame ***.
total dimensions: 41.5 x 31.5 x 2 cm
PHOTOGRAM
* (The photogram is an image made without a camera by placing an object directly on to the surface of a light-sensitive material - photographic paper - and then exposing it to light. Since the dawn of photography it has been explored by practitioners such as Henry Talbot, Man Ray, László Moholy-Nagy (p. e.), keen to expand the boundaries of representation.)
TECHNIQUE / GELATIN SILVER PRINT
** The gelatin silver process is the basic chemical process used in black and white photography. The entire process takes place in a darkroom, and the photograph is created entirely by hand by the artist.
These gelatin silver prints were manually made on resin-coated photographic paper, then warm toned, treated for archival permanence, air-dried and heat-pressed.
FRAME
***Framed in a wooden frame (2cm width) with protective glass. Painted black and varnished with a semi matte finish.
