A Vision of Japan Sealed in Light Mount Fuji · Fireworks · Five-storey Pagoda · Pink Moon Collector No. 001 Step closer, and Japan appears inside a sphere of glass-clear resin — a fantasy night scene the eye can wander through for minutes at a time. A deep indigo sky fills the world within. The Pink Moon hangs softly overhead, casting its glow across Mount Fuji, which rises in perfect stillness at the scene's centre. Around it, fireworks bloom in brilliant colour, while at the base a five-storey pagoda stands quietly, lending the composition the unmistakable character of classical Japan. At the foot of the mountain, countless points of light are sealed within — water and light overlapping in endless shimmer. The artist writes: "I set out to take the scenery that defines Japan — its mountains, its night skies, its celebrations — and place it in a world that exists only in the imagination. The clarity and depth of the resin shifts the scene with every change of angle and light: from one direction, a spectacle; from another, stillness. I wanted the viewer to find, among all that brilliance, a landscape that quiets the mind." The work is signed by Rii of Fūkō Resin (風光レジン), a studio devoted to capturing the Japanese landscape in miniature resin form. Each piece is made entirely by hand. What Fūkō Resin holds dear is the healing quality of water, light, and the quiet radiance they create together — a small scene that becomes an invitation to step away from the everyday and gaze into a world of pure imagination. This piece carries the designation Collector No. 001 — the first work in an edition created specifically for European collectors.
