Alpha A100 Handmade Classical Guitar – Solid Top – Vintage Dutch Guitar
The Alpha A100 is a handmade classical guitar with a traditional design and a warm, natural appearance. Featuring a solid top, this instrument reflects the craftsmanship of traditional European guitar making and offers an appealing option for players and collectors who appreciate vintage classical guitars.
General Description
The Alpha A100 features a traditional Spanish-style body and understated styling. Its solid top is designed to enhance the instrument's acoustic response, while the classic construction gives it the character of a traditional nylon-string guitar.
For its age, this guitar is in excellent overall condition. It does have a fine hairline crack on the upper part of the back, which is worth noting as part of its condition. Apart from this, the instrument presents very well for its age.
Playing Experience and Sound
The classical body design and nylon-string configuration provide the familiar warm, mellow character associated with traditional classical guitars. The instrument is suitable for classical repertoire, fingerstyle playing and relaxed acoustic sessions.

Historical Background
The Alpha A100 is part of an interesting chapter in Dutch guitar-making history. Alpha guitars were produced in the Netherlands by the former Egmond manufacturing operation under the ownership of Tolchin Instruments. Following a collaboration between Egmond and C.F. Martin & Co. that began in 1972, the factory produced guitars under the Vega name based on Martin designs. After this partnership ended in 1979, the Alpha brand continued as a separate line, including classical nylon-string models such as the A100.
