Polished Blue-Grey Agate Bowl A sculptural agate bowl with an expressive, softly triangular outline and a beautifully layered interior. Fine pearl-white and blue-grey bands trace an angular central pattern, surrounded by smoky brown and darker translucent-looking areas. The glossy polish gives the colours depth and creates an attractive contrast between the crisp banding and softer cloud-like zones. Its generous curved sides and asymmetric rim lend the piece a more individual character than a conventional bowl. Displayed on a console, coffee table or shelf, it works as a small natural centrepiece, particularly against pale wood or a simple neutral background. Agate is a banded form of chalcedony, composed of microscopic quartz crystals. The layers develop through successive deposition of silica-rich material.
