Two (2) jewellery boxes, executed in the Art Deco style from around 1930 - 1940 produced in Czechoslovakia. Designed by the renowned designers Curt Schlevogt / Heinrich Hoffmann. The boxes are the same design but in two variants: green (a glass imitation of malachite) and black. Schlevogt was famous for his glass imitations of more precious stone varieties. This is a luminous, nice-quality piece from the legendary 'Ingrid' collection, an artistic pinnacle of Bohemian glass art from the interwar period. The lid and body are decorated with an exquisitely detailed high relief of bathing nymphs, designed by the visionary Heinrich Hoffmann.
