Product Description* This is a flower vase made using the traditional craft technique known as Suruga Take-Sensuji Zaiku (Suruga bamboo-strip craft). This is an exquisitely crafted piece, formed from slender, rounded bamboo strips that are assembled to intersect within the structure, creating a beautiful, plump, vase-like or cocoon-like shape. The defining feature of Suruga *takesensuji-zaiku* (fine-bamboo-strip craft) is the use of slender, flexible bamboo strips, each carefully incorporated by hand to create soft, nuanced shadows from every angle. Simply placing one in an entryway or a contemporary living space instantly evokes an elegant, "Japanese-modern" atmosphere. By inserting a glass, resin, or ceramic vessel—known as an *otoshi* (flower container)—inside, you can fill it with water to beautifully display fresh flowers, seasonal branches, or dried floral arrangements. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, including certified traditional craftspeople, making it a work of exceptional value. Condition* In very good condition. There are aged deterioration, but no problem with functionality. Please use zoom to inspect all pictures closely for the cosmetic condition. Shipping* We will send items from yabai artworks Japan.
