The certificate details this blade as follows: Type: Wakizashi, Length: 44.8 cm, Curvature: 0.5 cm, featuring one peg hole, and an inscription noting it as "Unsigned." This registration was issued on July 18th, Reiwa 8 (2026). The blade itself carries some scuffs, a chip on the upper edge, two tiny chips at the tip—marks of a history steeped in use and tradition. The scabbard, though showing signs of wear with minor scratches and lacquer chipping, adds to the sword's character, its aged metal end cap adorned with a patina of rust that tells of its age and journey. The hilt, featuring a small defect near one of the peg holes, retains its strength and historical significance, while the metal fittings exhibit a rich, time-worn patina. Though the kozuka (small knife) is missing, the essence and spirit of the sword remain undiminished. The slightly undersized blade collar adds an intriguing element, requiring a careful hand to seat it properly. Please review the photos to assess the detailed condition. Length of the blade: 57.3 cm Total length including scabbard: 65.8cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. ・In absence of modern certification, the signature and datation remains subject to authentication by modern standard. ・We make every effort to accurately represent the product's colors and textures in our photos.
