Bonde Lamp – An elegant fusion of sculpture and light by Kabuff
The Bonde lamp embodies a refined synthesis of geometric rigor and organic warmth, designed to embellish the domestic environment with a delicate and essential scenic presence. Crafted from premium birch wood and finely finished by hand, this creation by the Italian collective Kabuff explores the dialogue between matter, form, and transparency, positioning itself as an authentic collectible art piece.
Far from the logic of mass production, the Bonde series comes to life within a select artisanal workshop in Southern Italy. The project develops with the slowness and meticulous care typical of an auteur's gesture: entirely conceived, signed, and assembled by an architect who dedicates their formal research to lighting design, each lamp is the result of a precise study on proportions and the expressive value of light in contemporary spaces.
Its vertical architecture is punctuated by three overlapping spherical volumes in birch, delicately nourished and protected with natural linseed oil to preserve the purity, tactility, and porosity of the wood's original grain. The shaped, radially arranged slats shield the central light source, generating a refined interplay of light and shadow, and projecting a soft, warm, and enveloping atmosphere into the room. A piece that seamlessly blends the clean lines of Nordic minimalism with the great plastic tradition of Italian design.
