A jasper dog bead talisman from the ancient Western Asiatic culture.
First Millennium AD or older.
In good condition. Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving and grinding. It has been cleaned by hand and repolished, but the nice ancient patina is preserved. The holes are ancient,hand-made,irregular. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased in 1995/Paris on the local art market by Dr. Zelnik .
